Code Enforcement and Health

Code Enforcement

Permits are required when buildings or other structures are erected, constructed, enlarged, altered, repaired, moved, improved, removed, demolished, or there is a change of use or occupancy. There are a number of instances when a building permit is not required. Residents are encouraged to call or stop at the Borough office if they have any questions regarding their proposed construction.

The function of the Code Enforcement Officer is to ensure public health, safety and welfare through construction built to a national standard.
